Raki Kopernik
Raki (pronounced "Rocky") found yoga in 1997 after studying gymnastics and dance throughout her youth. She grew up between Chicago and Israel, spent much of her adult life on the west coast, and is excited to have landed back in the Midwest in Minneapolis.
Her practice has a strong focus on breath, listening to the body, and moving from the heart. She believes in the power of humility and letting go, so that we may be the best people we can be in the world.
Raki has completed a number of Vipasana meditation retreats, has trained with Ana Lunaria, Joseph Le Page through Integrative Yoga Therapy, and at the Naropa Institute with various yoga and meditation practitioners.
She has taught Iyengar inspired hatha yoga, vinyasa flow, partner yoga, restorative and yin yoga, and has led sitting and walking meditation at various yoga studios, in community centers, women’s shelters, and prisons. She has found her greatest teachers to be her students.
